Cause

  • Physical Examination: Identifies characteristic scaly plaques.
  • Skin Biopsy: Rules out other conditions.

Different Types of Treatments Available:

Topical Treatments: Corticosteroids, vitamin D analogs, or coal tar.
Phototherapy: UV light therapy to slow cell growth.
Systemic Medications: Methotrexate, cyclosporine, or biologics.

Side Effects:

Medications may cause liver or kidney issues; topical treatments may cause mild irritation.
